White Buffalo Foundation was established in 2020 as the brain child of Daniel J. Huff and his family and friends after he was diagnosed with ALS in 2019. Within one short year Daniel's life was dramatically altered from one of adventure and independence to severe physical deterioration and depression.
Shaped by his personal experiences as a caregiver to Zach Culliton, a young man who was diagnosed with Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy at the very young age of 6 and died at the age of 19, Dan envisioned a foundation that would dedicate itself to the funding and support of creative experiences for others living with mental and physical disabilities.
On April 16, 2021 Dan J. Huff passed away and his family and friends decided to carry on his dream of helping others. In memory of Dan, Zach, and their common love for adventure and lived experiences, the White Buffalo Foundation was born.
White Buffalo Foundation is a network of families and loved ones who have discovered that despite the challenges that individuals living with mental or physical disabilities may face, there are an abundance of positive experiences that can be created for anyone.
White Buffalo Foundation is committed to funding and fostering such experiences.
